Project description:

The project aims to structurally stabilize the bell tower. Made of adobe and bricks, the masonry walls of the church have erosion and deterioraton issues. The project will address the consolidation of stones and also regrouting the masonry joints to deter further water damage on the walls.

Scope of the project:

1.             MOBILIZATION AND SITE PREPARATION

1.1.          Temporary facilities;
1.2.          Provision of formworks and rental scaffoldings;

1.3.          Construction safety, security and health requirements;
1.3.1.       Installation of dropnets;
1.3.2.       Provision of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE);
1.3.3.       Cordining and fencing works – caution tape
1.3.4.       Construction signages;
1.4           Photo Documentations (before, during and after);
1.5           Preparation of As-built plans after the construction (signed and sealed);
1.6           Light, power and water serevices connection, toilet, security and fencing;

2.             SOIL INVESTIGATION (SOIL BORING IN STRATEGIC POINTS W/IN THE SITE)

3.             RESTORATION OF CHURCH, BELFRY AND CONVENT MUSEUM

3.1.          Dismantling Work

3.1.1.       Church Area

3.1.1.1.    Chipping of cement plasters on retablo adn church’s extrerior;
3.1.1.2.    Dismantling of existing floor tiles at sanctuary area;
3.1.1.3.    Landscape attached to masonry walls (left side);
3.1.1.4.    Damaged roof eaves and soffit finish;
3.1.1.5.    Damaged roof tiles;

3.1.2.       Convent area (Museo ng Republika ng 1899)

3.1.2.1.    Damage flooring system at second floor (museum galleries);
3.1.2.2.    Damaged ceiling member at museum;
3.1.2.3.    Window and door canopies on convent;
3.1.2.4.    Volada façade wood components and stripping of paint
                finish (framing and windows);
3.1.2.5.    Damaged roof eaves and soffit finish;
3.1.2.6.    Damaged roof tiles;

3.2.           Surface preparation, cleaning of unreinforeced masonry wall;

3.2.1.        Surface preparation (exterior and altar area);
3.2.1.1.     Mechanical cleaning;
3.2.1.2.     Chamical cleaning;

3.2.2.        Fabrication and installation of missing /datached masonry blocks;
3.2.3.        Removal of vegetation on church’s exterior periphery;

3.3.           Stabilization and consolidation of unreinfocerd masonry wall;

3.3.1.        Consolidation of rubble core (injection of slurry lime);
3.3.2.        Re-pointing of masonry joints and gaps;
3.3.3.        Injection of calibrated and flexible epoxy grout on crack masonry walls;
3.3.4.        Restoration of stone mouldings and ornaments;
3.3.5.        Provision of trenches to deter rising damp in interior walls;
3.3.6.        Application of damp proofing/ water repellent on walls (church and convent);

3.4.           Ceiling Work

3.4.1.        Replacement of dilapidated interioir T&G ceiling;
3.4.2.        Rehabilitation of roofing eaves;
3.4.3.        Provision of ceiling finish at storage/ maintenance (Ecclesiatical storage at ground floor)

3.5.           Rehabilitaion of roof at church and belfry

3.5.1.        Provosion of bamboo  scaffoldings
3.5.2.        Replacement/ rehabilitaiton of damaged roof clay tiles;
3.5.3.        Replacement of church roof flashing and rehabilitaion of pediment termination
3.5.4.        Provision of water collection canal and downspout/water leader on bellfry tower

3.6.           Rehabilitaion of flooring and finishes at Museu ng Republika ng 1899

3.6.1.        Installation of additional stiffener bridging on convent flooring;
3.6.2.        Provision of interior gravel at zaguan area (trenches with pebble bedding)

3.7.           Architectural work

3.7.1.        Rehabilitaion of doors, windows, window grills and canopies;
3.7.2.        Provision of machuca floor tiles at sanctuary (church’s altar);
3.7.3.        Provision of canopy at zaguan area;

4.           GENERAL RE-PAINTING WORK

5.           ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND MECHANICAL WORK

5.1.        Dismantling of existing electrical wires at Barasoain church;
5.2.        Re-wiring of power and lighting system at Barasoain church;
5.3.        Provision of new power and lighting layout at zaguan and ecclesiastical museum;
5.4.        Re-wiring of floor mounted at gallery 3 and duplex outlets in gallery 5;
5.5.        Provision of façade lighting church and convent;

6.           SITE DEVELOPMENT WORK

6.1.        Provision of concrete covered trench and gravel drain;
6.2.        Landscaping works;

7.           FURNISHING
7.1.        Provision of sound system;
7.2.        Provision of computers and printers;
7.3.        Provision of movable industrial fan,

8.           COMPREHENSIVE TERMITE TREATMENT

9.           CLEARING, CLEANING AND HAULING WORK
