Project description:

This museum project is part of the Quincentennial Celebration. The updating and repair of the said bahay na bato will support the promotions activity of the commemoration event of the country’s first Christian baptism.

Project description:

This old coral stone building was damaged by the 2013 Bohol earthquake. Due to the lack of funds, the rebuilding of the structure has not been completed. The local government requested the NHCP to help in the restoration of the coral walls and other unreinforced structural components.

Project description:

This development project aims to highlight the monument of Lapu Lapu and the Obelisk of Magellan within a vast local park of the city. The project will also entail a construction of a small exhibition area on the life of the hero, Lapu Lapu and the victory of Mactan over the Spanish colonizers. This project is part of the Philippine Government’s preparation for the 500th anniversary of the victory of our ancestors led by Lapulapu in the Battle of Mactan, and other related events in 1521.

Project description:

With the vision to sustain the preservation and development of Bohol's cultural sites and structures, the NHCP embarked on creating a conservation course in cooperation with Bohol Island State University (BISU). Given the vast resources of cultural properties in Bohol, which were restored by NHCP and the National Museum, this course will cover the sustainability of maintaining these sites and structures by producing technical professionals locally. The course will be embedded in the existing technical courses of the university like engineering, industrial arts, and architecture. 

This infrastructure and equipment acquisition project aims to build a permanent building for the course in Dauis, Bohol, the university's off-site campus. The classroom building will have laboratories, classrooms, workshop room and other amenities. Equipment on building diagnostics and material characterization will be furnished in the building.
