With the vision to sustain the preservation and development of Bohol's cultural sites and structures, the NHCP embarked on creating a conservation course in cooperation with Bohol Island State University (BISU). Given the vast resources of cultural properties in Bohol, which were restored by NHCP and the National Museum, this course will cover the sustainability of maintaining these sites and structures by producing technical professionals locally. The course will be embedded in the existing technical courses of the university like engineering, industrial arts, and architecture.
This infrastructure and equipment acquisition project aims to build a permanent building for the course in Dauis, Bohol, the university's off-site campus. The classroom building will have laboratories, classrooms, workshop room and other amenities. Equipment on building diagnostics and material characterization will be furnished in the building.
