Project description:
This bahay na bato was donated by the Fule family to the be used by the high school. However, due to lack of maintenance and deterioration, the house has not been used for years. The aim of restoration is to stabilize the structure and adaptively reuse it as a home economics building. With the amenities of an old bahay na bato, the old house is a perfect venue for such repurposing of use.
The old adobe walls, wooden floors and sidings, tin roof, and tile finishes will be repaired and restored to its former appearance. The existing fence will also be renovated to improve the vista of the house from the public.
The Department of Education, who is the present custodian of the house, through a memorandum of agreement with the City Government of San Pablo, has committed to counterpart a budget of P10,000,000.00 for the interior furnishings and other architectural finishes.
