Project description:
This American-period concrete building was damaged by a typhoon in 2016. The local government requested the assistance of the NHCP in the restoration and adaptive reuse of the building as a local museum and tourism office.
The project focused on restoring the neoclassic look of the building. Various addition through the years were dismantled to recreate the 1930s ambiance. The roof and concrete walls were structurally rehabilitated. Additional architectural finishes and landscaping were also introduced to harmonize in the overall American-period appearance of the building and its complex.
