Project description:
Central Luzon was hit by a 6.5 magnitude earthquake on 22 April 2019. The NHCP and the Archdiocese of San Fernando met a day after the calamity happened to discuss the plans to repair, rehabilitate and restore the damaged heritage churches. Initially, the NHCP has committed to conduct immediate repairs in the churches of Lubao and Porac.
To pro-actively protect other churches from further damage, detailed engineering studies will be conducted in the churches of Angeles City and Betis. These will be the basis for the retrofitting and repair of these buildings.
